This has truly been an epic year for the much loved M235i. Some accomplishments this year include replacing the 3-Series on Car and Driver’s 10 Best List for 2014, took down the E46 M3 on a track test done by AutoBild, named an Automobile All-star for 2014. Anyway you slice it, this is an impressive list of accolades for a car to make in its first year.
Its only fitting to add another title to the crown, “Best cars of 2014″ given by Autocar UK, and a perfect way to round out the year. Writing for Autocar, Richard Bremner captures it nicely in this line
But the allure of this car is about a lot more than horsepower. It’s about balance. The balance of power and grip, of performance and economy, of space and size, of ride and handling, of agility and stability, of roar and refinement. It’s a high scorer on every count, making it satisfying to live with and easier to justify to yourself.

The M235i is among the most satisfyingly complete, real-world sports cars out there.
One can’t help but be envious of all the people who were smart enough to get into one and one can only imagine what the future 2-Series updates and M2 will hold in store.
